Germany digital

beginning from 2009 (until 2016)

In the first years of landscape photography I have worked with an analogue large format camera. The images which are taken with this technique from 1995 - 2008 are presented in Germany analogue .

From 2009 on I have worked with digital camera equipment. These newer images are presented in this site.

This presentation beginns at the North Sea and ends in the Black Forest, sometimes with photographs from almost the same locations which I had visited years ago with the analogue camera.

Since 1999 I visited these old trees rather often, but I could not photograph this avenue in snow until January 2016.

Wood pastures were often maintained in former centuries and thereby old trees were protected because of their high yield of fruit. Some of these old trees are dying and
several stages of rotting can be studied.

The old and small-structures landscape in the Kaiserstuhl was transformed to modern large terrasses for new vineyards. That transformation began in the 60s and is not yet completed.
